The way that some "sustainable slow fashion" content creators will preach the value of buying your clothing from ethical sources & then collab with the likes of Urban Outfitters or H&M pisses me off. I won't maintain a connection with someone who doesn't stand ten toes down on their values.

Scheduled an appointment online w/ a local pharmacy for the novavax & an HPV vax. Turns out, they didn't have *either.* They couldn't figure out how to bill Medicaid for a Moderna covid vax. Had to wait for an hour and left with a flu shot I did not sign up for.

There’s a long proud history of Jewish atheism and agnosticism. Yiddish culture & radical thought. Spinozish, arguably. You can be a great Jew and not believe in God. So much of our focus is on caring for people & the world here & now.

These houses in Rodanthe, NC were built ~40 years ago far away from the water, but in the time since, the beaches have worn away and Mother Nature is creeping in.
Several houses have already fallen into the ocean. The rest are beginning to buckle, too.

This is a textile landfill in Chile that is visible from space. 60-80% of thrift store donations (yes, even the "cute stuff!") winds up here, where it suffocates the economies and ecosystems of countries affected by waste colonialism.
