Given today’s bullshit with the Washington Post, feels like a good time to remind everybody that the maddest Jeff Bezos has ever been publicly was when the Queen died and people were making jokes. This man could not handle the fact that his money cannot protect him from us laughing at him.

After more than 10 years of Andrés Manuel López Obrador setting the agenda, the opposition party in Mexico just couldn’t punch through, @leonkrauze.bsky.social writes.

For Democrats, there are two fundamental lessons here:
Opinion | Mexico has lessons for Democrats trying to oppose Trump
Andrés Manuel López Obrador learned to dominate the discussion. And his opponents let it happen.

Chicago, 2/8—anti-deportation protesters braved wintry weather for a rally followed by a march down 26th St. in La Villita. Activists credit a widespread Know Your Rights campaign for decreasing the number of encounters with ICE agents across the city and suburbs.

What do you bet that the reason MAGA Mike Johnson does not seem to have any bank accounts or assets is that he has squared away a sweetheart tax-avoidance deal with a church in Louisiana.
It's closer than going offshore.
I'd bet a dollar to a donut there's a laundromat with a cross on the door.

A constitutional crisis requires friction to make it legible. That often comes from conflict between the branches of government, but a Republican-controlled Congress and SCOTUS are not interested in challenging Trump’s lawlessness. That why it’s *especially* important for Democrats to act.

I live in the state where spread first caught fire. He was DELIGHTED. We voted against him, our AG sued him (a lot), and many, many of the deaths were elders and disabled people. He stole our ventilators and PCR tests. Our governor had to go behind his back and buy broken ones to save lives.

In 2016, Trump was elected, was so lonely in a red state/red church. We gathered 15-20 women together, supported each other the last 9 years. We march, call legislators, read books and educate. One was a community Union organizer. Several led a homeless organization. We were active and amazing.

Absolutely this. I don’t doubt that the air quality here in LA contributed to me being sick right now.
Shockingly few people are talking about the toxic air and water in LA.

It’s eerily reminiscent of early days of the pandemic when we were assured we didn’t have to mask

Listen to air quality experts. The same folk educating about IAQ & COVID are providing life saving info now.

And wear a mask.
