In light of the news this week that Cellebrite has acquired Corellium, here's an in-depth piece I previously wrote about Cellebrite, which looks at how the Israeli firm became the go-to hackers for the FBI and other federal agencies who want to get physical access into locked phones they seize

I worked providing harm reduction outreach in many women’s shelters and my mother experienced being unhoused due to intimate partner violence while I was an adult.
The fear of being homeless is omnipresent yet the conversation (similar to requiring harm reduction access) is always individualized.
“Framing the experience of a woman fleeing violence as ‘homelessness’ places the focus of the policy problem on her; it reframes who she is, even though her circumstances were the product of someone else’s violence.”

Hey fellow Canadians abroad. Remember we're able to vote in Canada's elections again after Trudeau got rid of Harper's horrendous policy preventing us from doing so. If you're not registered to, now's the time to do it. All you need is your Canadian passport and last Canadian address.

Things far more important for the Canadian economy than tax cuts for millionaires:

* Dental, pharma, vision care.
* Clean indoor air.
* Worker safety.
* Mental health care.
* Environmental health.
* Education.
* Support for chronically ill and disabled folks.
* Research funding.

I’ve been a fan of repurposing Valentine’s Day in favour of Pink Triangle Day as I find the primacy of romantic love to be a source of much social pain.
I’m excited to see who I have to thank for this.

Thanks darlin’ 😘
On 14 February 1979, officers of Pink Triangle Press received the first of three acquittals on obscenity charges. That summer, on my initiative, the Canadian Lesbian & Gay Rights Coalition declared the date an annual lesbian and gay holiday, Pink Triangle Day.
