While it is a nice surprise that Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green are available to buy rather than being forced to rent them indefinitely from a subscription service, $20 is an incredibly high price and I won't be buying one

Starting to want a new reply filter where people who just made an account and haven't even set up a profile picture yet cannot reply

I'm sure all these new accounts arguing that people shouldn't vote, shouldn't participate in their community, are real people and not bots 🤡

What an incredibly stupid move. I mean, why not just try to sell them? I'm sure they'd get picked up quickly. Nintendo could have just put them on doing remakes and remasters of GC games to pretty much guaranteed success.

I still really miss auto-scrolling though. How does Linux not have this yet 😭
Related, a nice bonus I hadn't considered about getting the ol' penguin running on this laptop:

My PC is connected to the TV running a game, while the laptop is connected to the monitor, keyboard, and mouse so I can still pop over and use a real computer instead of having to resort to a smartphone

Mine can do karaoke, and he can bring Kanda along

It sure doesn't make up for the Hamazaki crap, but it's kinda nice to have.

Voting actually *is* doing something and is quite honestly the most important civic responsibility in a representative democracy. Everyone on the right realizes this. Why so many people on the left downplay its importance is partly why we’re in this mess.

I’ve talked a lot of shit about Bluepoint remakes in the past so lemme make my feelings 100% clear: this is the most bullheaded, insane, dogshit decision Sony has made since they killed Japan Studios. A wealth of incredible technical know-how for their systems being thrown straight in the trash
BREAKING: PlayStation is shutting down Bluepoint Games, the studio responsible for modern remakes of classic games such as Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Colossus, Bloomberg News has learned.

A shocking end for a well-respected studio.

Sony acquired Bluepoint in 2021, and killed it before Bluepoint could release A SINGLE GAME as a first-party studio. Unless I'm mistaken, this has never happened before. Even the unluckiest studios released a game before being gutted.

We're reaching record levels of skittish corporate incompetence.

RE Bluepoint:

Having a studio that is expert at remakes, working for a publisher with an insanely deep backlog of beloved classics, was always a recipe for printing money at a steady cadence.

Leave them alone and they print money forever, little or no opportunity cost. Come the fuck on

This is a travesty and frankly bullshit. These guys are so talented but people like Jim Ryan, presumably, or foolish investors perhaps just had to chase that awful GAAS trend.

A vote of no confidence which empowers the worse option.

You cannot deny that reality or defect from responsibility from it even though many people with this position seem to think they can. It is a perverted moral framework which absolves them from the consequence of inaction.
