When I sing karaoke people come up to me and tell me I have the voice of an angel. I don’t know if I believe that. But I do believe in Portland and can’t wait tell you why I’m running for city council in D4. Come through and sing a song with me🎤

Oh no @mitchgreen.bsky.social has my phone number and he's texting me asking for more money (meager donation sent). Going to have to work out the details on the quid pro quo. I'm thinking a cushy diplomatic post. mitch4portland.com

I believe the public sector can take a decisive lead in ensuring that we live with abundance around us. Not scarcity. No more zero-sum politics.

I'm running for council because I'm tired of the cynics who spend their time tearing Portland down, while kicking real solutions to our problems down the road. My goal is to get 100 new small donors to my campaign by the end of the week. Can you help?

Portland is at a crossroads. The policy decisions we make now will define this city for a generation. We have an opportunity to keep building for the abundance agenda, instead of slipping into retrenchment. Will you fight with me?

“Like a lot of Portlanders I’m worried that the big, bold things we do in this town are at risk of being cut down early out of impatience and fear, precisely when we should be holding fast and nurturing them.”

And there it is! Fees, waived. Took less than a week from the first wweek report.

Note to council candidates: this a good subject area for oversight hearings in the new govt. Are *fees* doing anything to balance tree canopy and safety?

In the next few weeks, I'll be expanding my website with the issues that I'm running on, but for now I wanted to say that I'm in this because I believe the public sector can take a decisive lead in ensuring that we live with abundance around us. Not scarcity. No more zero-sum politics.
