If I had one wish it would be for world peace but if I had two wishes it would be for world peace and that people understood that capital gains taxes and estate taxes are subsets of income taxes which are already treated preferentially under the tax laws.

I’ve heard from multiple former Bondi employees that she did the same thing when she was Florida AG. To the point where they specifically called her by the full title to avoid having to use “General”.
I am once again reminding you that “general” is the adjective in “attorney general” (and deputy attorney general). If you need help remembering that, just think of Ted Cruz begging his wife to call him “general” when he was Texas solicitor general. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

Since the "SNAP benefits allow poor people to eat like kings" debate is back in the news, I remember when my brother was complaining that he saw someone buying lobsters with an EBT card and that people who get government benefits live easy lives.
"Well, then quit your job and get on benefits!"

"I don't think people realize how bad X is".
I realize. I am quite aware. I am unsure of exactly what I can do about it and that terrifies me, but I need to keep getting out of bed each day and going to work (a place where occasionally I get to do some good) and being part of my community.

I feel like people don't really understand how much the law favors traditional families and is stacked against other living arrangements.

The deeper sort of long term issue is that the people under 50 who actually have the traits that would make them good at governing and leading are the types of people who would never imagine actually running for office, meaning the only people who do run are fundamentally damaged in some way.
I suppose my stance is that there’s no way we get out of this intact if we do not take necessary risks or take unnecessary risks. The Nazi skull tattoo is an unnecessary risk.

I'd like to point out that this was the "No Kings" rally, so technically Jesus could be the one King. Thanks, yes this is a repurposed Simpsons joke.
Chip Roy: "The truth is the marxist, radicals, and Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth. The truth is that there is a king and that king is Jesus. My friends tried to set me up in the past but each one stopped after separate similar incidents where the guy treated me poorly in the date for not being “hot”.
My friends hated seeing me getting my hopes up for a date and then hearing…that. So they just sort of gave up totally.

Work and bar's declines make sense, but what does it say about the implosion of meeting people through friends? Like, it's almost a trope being set up by people.

I don't want this? Why would I want this? Why would anyone want this? (And I am a person who am such a mark for stuff usually: I bought a Taylor Swift inspired sweatshirt from the Elizabeth Taylor estate this weekend).

This is also why DeSantis is pushing a proposal to eliminate property taxes and replace them with higher sales taxes. Sales taxes go to the state. Property taxes go to the local government.

Famously, this is why cis-women do not have autism.
Besides linking Tylenol in pregnant women to autism, RFK Jr. now says circumcision is part of the reason why kids are autistic.
"Children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism, and it's highly likely because they're given Tylenol. None of this is positive..."

Gang, my job is a nightmare this week, my seasonal depression is ramping up, the government is still in shutdown...we can't do pro-natalism discourse. Not today. I already feel like a failure in life because I wasn't able to find a partner and have kids, literally the only thing I ever wanted to do.

So, the real easy solution to this is to increase reimbursement rates for emergency Medicaid, a thing that Congress can 100% easily do and yet weirdly isn't something they seem to be considering?
It's almost like it isn't actually about this at all.
