As this time of year comes around I’m forced to contemplate my experiences. It’s like an annual alarm clock to remind me to be melancholic. I want to talk about it. I want to bury it. I don’t really know. There is no set way to do remembrance and no one should tell you otherwise.

So someone I know stopped me today and asked why I wasn’t wearing a poppy (they know that I dabbled in some soldiering) and then proceeded to say ‘oh I’m surprised at you’…. 👀🙄😂🤷🏻♂️. It beggars belief. Their tone was horrendous. It’s not a competition. I’ll deal it in my own way thanks.

Sensibly I’ve taken a post We Have Ways day off work given the timing and the weather I am hunkered down watching… well what else. This scene though isn’t far off Sunday morning as everyone tries to get their stuff packed and in the car before the rain.

One of our highlights of the We Have Ways Fest was being able to borrow a truck from Track and Wheel, add some great reenactors from Spirit of Britain and top off with a little sound track and it shows how well made the #VickersMG radial anti-aircraft mount was!
