As a white man born and raised in the South, the best thing to ever happen to me was going to a 'majority minority' school. Because it is too easy to fall into the comfortable ignorance that leads to racism and bigotry when you don't actually know any of the groups you're other-ing.

A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
