In case anyone is looking for links:

We looked very quickly at an ESTC record: datb.cerl.org/estc

Other good sources for identifying and cataloguing rare books include:

EEBO: proquest.libguides.com/eebopqp

ECCO: gale.com/primary-sour...

Hope this helps!

Currently doing some marking. A reminder to everyone involved in archives and collections: digitisation is not preservation. If I digitise a box of records and put the files on a USB stick I haven't preserved a thing. It's all about what you do with the files post-digitisation. #archives #digipres

And levels remaining flat don't help when positivity is so high already, as in Cumbria, Durham, Sunderland.

Teesside looks pretty labile still: Stockton-on-Tees and Hartlepool spiking further.

Look a new thing

Librarians you should become experts in that new thing

No we aren't gonna give you new staff so you can hire or train specialists

You all just need to be experts at that and whatever else you're doing too

Don't drop anything though

We'll get mad

You have to do the new thing

Is it just me or is this a bit weird?

“Due to the number of steps and narrow passages after The King’s Hall wheelchairs, walking aids and crutches aren’t allowed due to health and safety requirements.”

Narrow I can see is challenging but is banning walking aids really the answer?

I don’t get it… Why is it helpful for all the passengers for one station to use the same luggage rack? Doesn’t that create more congestion at exiting? #Lumo
