Trump invests in corporations that he's supposed to be regulating.

Trump cuts deals with autocrats to advance his family's real estate business.

The list goes on.

Aaron Kinsey, the SBOE chair who has promised to use his position to advance Christianity in public schools, said there was nothing in the rules barring the CAIR rep from testifying, but noted that they had Texas Dept. of Public Safety officers in the room.
This hearing just began with a State Board of Education member trying to bar a Council on American-Islamic Relations representative barred from speaking because she leads a "terrorist" organization. (Yesterday, Gov. Abbott designated CAIR as such).
Happening now: Texas clergy speaking out about the influence of Christian nationalism — including David Barton’s theories — on proposed social studies curriculum. The State Board of Education will hold a hearing on the proposals later today.

The board member in question, Brandon Hall, was one of two members who recently appointed David Barton, the debunked Christian nationalist amateur historian, to help lead the board's revision of social studies lessons. Hall left during the CAIR reps testimony - which focused on anti-Muslim bullying.
Last month, two Republican State Board of Education members appointed David Barton, a Christian nationalist activist and widely debunked "amateur historian," as an expert advisor for the state's upcoming revision of curricula to focus on Texas and American history.

Ensuring that the final indictment is presented to the grand jury is basic procedure for a competent federal prosecutor.

When no prosecutor with integrity would take the case, Trump recruited a Mar-a-Lago blonde insurance lawyer. She screwed it up.

Delicious.😅

There are two choices. One will be put into power. Dems Failing to vote helps the Republicans keep power and got us into this mess.

Jessica: This backfiring with the gerrymandering is a big deal. Trump asked Abbott to cheat for him. They try, they fail. And a Trump-appointed judge even helped with that. So now it looks like Republicans aren’t going to net any seats. It looks like Democrats could end up with an extra three seats.
