It’s an easy explanation- 100s of years of the “Black Welfare Queen/lesser intellect/Born to be criminals” propaganda made them think Black people (& Brown) people don’t have the means to make a difference in business. They act as if our $ is a “nice to have” as they cater to white $ by default.
Nobody from Target can explain why they thought ending DEI programs and cutting ties with Black businesses would have no impact on Black consumers spending money in their stores. They knew we'd stop. They simply underestimated the impact of us cutting them off. That's why it's still "no" for me.

Pancreatic cancer tore my father apart and he did not deserve to die the way he did. I try not to get upset since it just happened but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t make me mad that he could have been here if he just scheduled one more appt instead of riding it out for a year
