#OnThisDay Nov 13, 1936: The 25-ton "Pioneers" monument is dedicated in front of the new downtown Post Office. One of the most ridiculous pieces of public art ever unveiled in Minneapolis, it was moved in 1967 and again in 2010 to B.F. Nelson Park, where it now lives in relative obscurity.

Both of my chihuahuas climbed onto my chest for the beginning of The Valley of Gwangi. Then the little one licked the inside of my nostril. It’s going to be a great episode! #Svengoolie

I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

I should’ve learned this by now but DO NOT use FedEx. The diseased monkeys I ordered haven’t arrived and I can’t get a straight answer on what happened to them

First the White House and now this? America is lost.
Word on the street is that Como Park is getting rid of their Mold-a-Rama machine. 😕

The #Svengoolie gang keeps telling me Amityville 3-D is terrible. But I think it’s got a lot of potential. A real fixer-upper of a film.

Happy 30th birthday to David Bowie's atemporal cyberpunk neonoir murder mystery concept album— an amazingly deft exegesis of the early dream & burgeoning pre-millennial zeitgeist nightmare of the mid-late 90s internet; an album which also somehow proves more prescient by the day.

One of my favorite Minnesota Historias ever is now on YouTube. We interviewed an eyewitness to the arrival of the Leif Erikson Viking ship in Duluth in 1927. You read that right. Lilly Haldorsen was there 98 years ago, at the age of 10!

When Donald Trump was seven, his older brother Fred dumped mashed potatoes on his head to stop him from being such a bratty little turd.
