Pete Rose should be in the HOF, and the last line of his plaque should read: "As both a player and manager, Rose bet on baseball and as a result, was banned for life by the commissioner."

Has anyone asked Pope Leo yet if the Cubs can keep going at this pace or whether the White Sox will break the loss record again?

With a Pope now in their alumni network, Villanova is going to be so obnoxious in Big East play for the foreseeable future.

I'm disappointed in the RI Democratic Party tonight. Frank Ciccone is pro-gun, anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ, and anti-environment. If Sen. Lawson couldn't get the votes to be Senate President without him, Democratic Senators should have found the backbone to select a different leader for the chamber.

This is such a stupid suspension. Anyone who has watched the Nationals bullpen for more than two innings this season can vouch for the fact that none of them have enough control or command to hit a batter intentionally. www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/...
Lopez suspended for throwing at McCutchen
Nationals reliever Jorge Lopez has been suspended three games for intentionally throwing at Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen.

That’s rich. He’s on air with Valicenti every Thursday! The lawsuits never stop him from that calling in for that love fest.
So no RIDOT director in Sunday's @ripbs-tpr.bsky.social special on the Washington Bridge saga

"Alviti was scheduled to talk with me, but his office cancelled the interview a few days before it was slated, citing the lawsuit — which was filed months before the interview was scheduled"

No president, no federal agency, and no army of online tech bros can erase the contributions Jackie Robinson made to America. Jackie's courage will persevere.

@jenpsaki.msnbc.com: “Chuck Schumer was a hell of a majority leader in his prime… But he is not in his prime. So where does that leave Democrats? Well, instead of just making tweaks to the margins of the message... Maybe it's time to throw out the old playbook and think about new messengers.”

arguments over who would get blamed for a shutdown are insane. the median voter has no idea this is happening. the median voter knows one fact about politics and it’s that Donald Trump is the President

Hello. If you are going to point out that Biden denied Trump intelligence access after his first term, you have to explain why. Thank you.

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

Put aside the content for a moment: can we talk about how utterly mundane, uninspiring, and downright boring this speech is? An almost sleep-inducing oratory. Trump’s age may be the reason, but he looks and sounds tired.

Also, on an entirely less serious note, JD Vance strikes me as the kind of dad who would get himself suspended from little league games for yelling confidently at umps about pass interference and offsides.
This is genuinely one of the most disappointing and embarrassing things I’ve seen in my adult life as an American.

Zelensky and Ukraine are the good guys. Putin is the bad guy. It’s not a gray space. We should be on the side of the good guys.
President Trump and Vice President JD Vance berated President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine on Friday, a public confrontation unlike any seen between an American president and foreign leader in modern times. Here are key excerpts from the heated exchange.

This is insane. If you wonder why some of us think the rule of law is about to fall, it's this.

The U.S. Attorney for DC is not "President Trump's lawyer" and its job is not to "protect his leadership" nor prosecute people who "refuse to put America first".
