Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

I have one of Gary’s paintings hanging in my office. He was a Washington icon and one of our town’s greatest ambassadors. Incredibly sad news.

By far the best thing about Sesame Street is the way it maintains the conceit that every celebrity on the show is someone the muppets already know personally

My hotel alone last weekend in Columbia was close to $400 and it was actually one of the more “reasonable” options in town.

I’ve never had season tickets but I’ve usually been able to go to individual MU games without breaking the bank. That’s increasingly becoming a thing of the past, everywhere.
The story focused on Florida State, but consider the Noles an (insert your school here) situation. It's pretty much the same challenge/balancing act everywhere, and I say that without judgment. Just the names and $s change.

Gary Pinkel announced his retirement as Mizzou’s football coach 10 years ago today. What a week that was.

A few days later, I got to cover what was ultimately his last win. Will always remember walking out of the media room and seeing Gary in the tunnel hugging his granddaughters.

Great piece by Zadie Smith. When the right talks about classics or "Western" culture, these works are only important to the extent that it demonstrates their superiority, they have no interest in art in and of itself beyond that www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

My understanding is that ESPN wanted to keep politics out of sports so what exactly is the purpose of this?

Against my better judgement, I poked my head into the other site and the PowerMizzou threads to gauge the temperature of the fanbase after last weekend and now I have brain damage.

Figured now was a good time to finally listen to Springsteen’s Nebraska.

The whole album is phenomenal but My Father’s House is such a beautifully haunting song. The kind of song where you have to sit in silence for a minute after hearing it.
