Man, after all these years, nothing beats a Saturday gameday. The tailgating, the atmosphere, the spirit, the postgame celebrations, all of it. You wait all year for the home slate, then it finally gets here, and after half a dozen Saturdays, it’s over.

Gary Pinkel announced his retirement as Mizzou’s football coach 10 years ago today. What a week that was.
A few days later, I got to cover what was ultimately his last win. Will always remember walking out of the media room and seeing Gary in the tunnel hugging his granddaughters.

I *really* thought he got this, but we’ll never truly know for sure because apparently a Top 15 matchup didn’t have a fist down marker camera.
