EMBRACE THE FUTURE is a fictional advertising campaign that celebrates renouncing consumption as a hedonistic, sensual and fulfilling lifestyle.
The book is aimed at people in the Global North whose consumption-oriented lifestyles are mainly responsible for the climate crisis.

Today is the international day of the bee. Remember that we depend on them, they do not depend on us. Hopefully my dystopian vision of robotic bees will never have to become true.

My painting INSECTA, which is an ironic "Future Retro Ad".
You can experience it in Augmented Reality: get the Artivive App and scan the image.

The Preliminary drawing for this painting is part of the collection of the Albertina museum in Vienna:

HAPPY May 1st.
What will the future of work look like?
May 1, 2025 at 11:15 AM
In my art project CAN THIS BE TOMORROW?, I created a series of fictional comic book covers in the style of the American Golden Age comics. Inspired by fantasists
like Aldous Huxley, George Orwell or Phillip K. Dick, the artworks illustrate a bygone vision of
current events.

My art project EMBRACE THE FUTURE propagates a system change that aims for a circular economy. Economic growth, emissions and resource consumption have not yet been decoupled from each other. And the window of time we have left to avoid irreversible tipping points is getting smaller and smaller.

"Democracy can hardly be expected to flourish in societies where political and economic power is being progressively concentrated and centralized."
Aldous Huxley, 1958

Sad but true: at the moment we are heading towards a future which we know from science fiction CYBERPUNK scenarios created by Phillip K. Dick and co. This means: High tech - low life. A handful billionaires rule over the empoverished crowd.
For Peter Thiel and friends this dystopia is an utopia.

CAN YOU DO WITHOUT IT?

This is a limited edition screen print from my art project EMBRACE THE FUTURE.

It fits perfectly to today's economic blackout.
And: LESS SHOPPING MEANS LESS EMISSIONS!

What will happen to our democracy at a time when algorithms of largely unregulated companies such as X, Meta and Google, are getting to know us better and better? Who will pay for the damage to society? Governments are handing over more and more responsibilities to undemocratic private companies.

I reject the use of AI systems that generate "art". On the one hand, because they disregard the rights of the authors of the works with which they were trained. On the other hand, I don't want the depth and complexity of my creative working process to be manipulated by the use of AI applications.

How Elon Musk used X to amplify Germany’s far right ahead of election
Musk won AfD a massive new audience, and JD Vance added support. That brought the party outsized attention, but the impact in Germany was limited, data shows.

We stand at the dawn of a new global order. A multipolar international system is emerging, and a new global arms race is on the horizon. However, for the financing of many of the great achievements of civilization, it is necessary to keep military expenditure as low as possible. Call it a dilemma.

I made this picture in 2020 for my dystopian art project PICTURES OF TOMORROW.

Here I'm combining it with an excerpt from Aldous Huxley's BRAVE NEW WORLD REVISITED (1958).
We must not forget that the current attack on democratic institutions all over the world did not come out of nowhere.
