I think after that speech Trump gave to the collected generals and admirals our country is just a little bit safer. I mean that! If a day soon comes when he asks those same generals and admirals to turn their guns on the American people he has already given them 72 minutes worth of reasons not to.

I used to think of the problems of coal vs. nuclear as having different time scales. You have a ton of hot nuclear waste maybe the half-life is ten thousand years! Then I realized how short ten thousand years is. Then I realized a ton of net-new carbon also will be around thousands of years later.

AI learned through imitation so people said it was all simply derivative. Babies learn that way, but then they learn by doing. AI does too now.
