INBOX: Group trying to put Missouri's new congressional map up for a vote says it has 200K signatures.

Given that People Not Politicians need around 106K signatures spread across six out of eight congressional districts, only GOP legal action will block referendum at this point.

Help us blow this up. I'd love to see us do some real good this weekend.
When the state cuts essential SNAP benefits, the people we feed every day are suddenly facing a massive gap at their dinner table. This weekend, when you buy a classic hot dog or a burger, we'll donate $1 to the St. Louis Area Foodbank.
Food security is a basic human right.

Remember when you see teargas and smoke in these pictures you’re seeing police violence. Do not assume that it was precipitated by anything from protesters. The federal government right now is publishing their own videos. Notice you see no injured feds, just tackled protesters.

I think after that speech Trump gave to the collected generals and admirals our country is just a little bit safer. I mean that! If a day soon comes when he asks those same generals and admirals to turn their guns on the American people he has already given them 72 minutes worth of reasons not to.

When Trump burns in hell, it won’t be because of all the loud and obnoxious things he said, but because of this—his illegal destruction of USAID without warning or replacement. The blood of the children he’s killed cry out against him. Millions more will die. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/20/o...

I just called Disney+ to cancel my account and had the most joyful interaction with an operator who was laughing the entire time about how many people had canceled today.

I can only imagine how it feels to spend an entire day witnessing how many people want to stop fascism.

Baby is watching baby shows while we wait for our food. “What does a dog say? Woof! What does a pig say?”
My partner under her breath: “This is an unlawful gathering…”

I got a new TV with a Google OS after the baby smashed my old one. Supposed to be voice activated.
“Hey Google play MS Rachel on Netflix” (a show for babies)
It brings it up but doesn’t actually play it
“Hey Google, play it”
“Okay, I’ll play It”
Brings up the movie “It” with the scary clown. Thanks.

I’ve been really drinking from the firehose making AI work both as a software engineering tool and as a part of deliverable software. Y’all it’s moving so fast, and changing so quick!

I used to think of the problems of coal vs. nuclear as having different time scales. You have a ton of hot nuclear waste maybe the half-life is ten thousand years! Then I realized how short ten thousand years is. Then I realized a ton of net-new carbon also will be around thousands of years later.

AI learned through imitation so people said it was all simply derivative. Babies learn that way, but then they learn by doing. AI does too now.
It’s a mistake to fixate on what WAS happening. AI is not just derivative anymore.
