Well…you know…when science finally figures out how to turn back time to 1996 you’ll feel so foolish for saying that.

Should be aaannnnyyy day now!

I didn't realize that a "Survivor Type" reference was what I needed to crack a smile today, so thank you

It's so fucking convenient that they get to "fear for their lives" anytime they want to absolve themselves of anything and when we actually fear for our lives because of them and do anything a scared person would do it's justification for our death.

I appreciate this new version of Minnesota Nice
Mayor Jacob Frey: “To ICE, get the fuck out of Minneapolis.”

Mayor Jacob Frey: "They are already trying to spin this as an action of self defense. Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly that is bullshit."

If Democrats can't win on "the administration is full of and covering for kiddie rapers and they're using your tax money to invade Venezuela and pay fat Nazis to shoot your neighbors" then GET THE FUCK OUT OF POLITICS

It was only a matter of time

I would be shocked if he could even name his own children, to say nothing of weighing in on health issues

A few years back I did the same, since times change and I no longer will wear XL/one size fits all shirts. And let me tell you—the winning bid for my early 90s Slowdive shirt was quite ridiculous

The news is depressing, the weather is foul, and social media is driving us insane

So here’s Mark doing his best shark impersonation…we’re gonna need a bigger treat bag

How many times has he (or other Dem leadership) hung his hopes on the Republicans doing the right thing? Dozens? Hundreds?

Imploring for days. Another sternly worded letter on the pile.

It doesn’t work. It should be obvious.

Me, not a professional messaging guy:

Why the hell would he lead with the paragraph describing what a bad guy Maduro was? It’s just making it seem like what Trump did was justified

Dad passed in late 2020. One of our last meaningful conversations was him asking if Biden won. Since Trump was refusing to concede, all I could answer was "I think so."

I wonder what he would say about all this nonsense.

In any case, miss you dad. Lots.

(later, when the film Pacific Rim is playing on television)

Dad (satisfied): This movie is telling me EXACTLY what I need to know

2018: Remembering when my father was hospitalized and had a temporary case of ICU Delirium:

Dad: Jason, you are on Facebook, right?
Me: Sure, dad
Dad (emphatic): You need to say something for me. Let everyone know
Me: What's that
Dad: DONALD TRUMP DOES NOT SPEAK FOR ME. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

The Dems lack institutional power, so I’m not expecting them to crush anything. But beyond the furrowed brows and strongly worded letters, the leadership doesn’t seem to be even trying.

Big mistake — the fight itself can lead to victories down the road, and inspire people to join a cause.

My first usage of this in 2026!

This is why we got Trump again in the first place. A refusal to put real consequences in action—because those are difficult and messy and uncomfortable—and hoping that saner heads will prevail and the problem fixes itself.

Look how well that worked. But Schumer and Jeffries et al know no other way
January 3, 2026 at 11:24 PM
Their plan is just to let Trump flame out on his own, and hope that things will go to normalcy after, like he was just an unfortunate flu the country had to get over

Because they hate conflict and doing anything that will ruffle big donors and the media thought leaders. they are cowards and hacks

Norms and rules and even laws don’t matter without consequences
January 3, 2026 at 9:33 PM
Any Democratic leader who says “we hope that our Republican colleagues will…” needs to be fired.

Stop hoping about things that won’t happen. Stop insisting that the people laughing at you are your colleagues. Grow a spine and start fighting back, or GTFO.
