Meandering on an ancient sea, beneath an eternal rainbow.
For the next Alien franchise film, I want to see a spaceship with brightly lit, shiny white corridors, and in this environment, the escaped zenomorph will adapt itself to also be shiny and white, camouflaging itself perfectly against the vessel's interior passages.

If you're finding it hard to get up in the morning, it might be that you attract gravitons when you sleep. This is a new addition to my developing theory of gravitational-wave induced anxiety.

I have a feeling that, if we lived in the Clockwork Orange Universe, Moloko Synthemasc might be popular with some folk.

Obligatory Blade Runner patch I made on the Alesis Andromeda synthesizer.

This synth can replicate the architecture of the Yamaha CS-80 very well since it can add sine waves post-filter, used here, just like the CS-80. It also features the famous ribbon cable.

As a former child junior olympic-level runner, I have a few thoughts on the attacks on trans girls in sports. I ran for one of the most competitive teams in Southern California, and people who ran for my have gone on to become professional athletes. And these bans: they're fucking NONSENSE. 🧵

If you're in Australia, my Boyer lecture will be on ABC in about 20 minutes. I'll wave to you from inside your TV. Should also be on iview if you're not near your telly.
This is sort of a thing, and I'm kind of proud of myself. The thing: I'm giving the keynote Boyer Lecture this year. Won't mean much to non-Aussies, but it's the leading annual "public intellectual" lecture series in my native Australia, and it means a lot to me.

Mini essay 🧵: I've posted about this grifter nominee for Surgeon General before, & about *why* this admin. gravitates to such awful people: Means, like Dr. Oz & RFK himself, doesn't just hawk products; she sells both the idea that people are to blame...

She left the medical mainstream and rose to be RFK Jr.’s surgeon general pick
Casey Means, the surgeon general nominee, has criticized the medical establishment. She could be put in position to change it.

I guess that space travel within the solar system could be steam powered - take ice from Saturn's rings, or somewhere else - place it into a tank, heat it to produce steam, and then blast that steam through a nozzle to power your craft.

I’ve meditated since my teens and I will tell you right now that you won’t really understand religious scriptures, mythology, fairy tales, tarot cards, and yourself, without it.

I have to say, after watching Alien Earth, that the most horrifying aspect of that series is the lack of any sort of adequate safety within future, corporate biohazard labs.

Dearest Martha,

The National Guard stand solemn watch at the Krispy Kreme tonight. I cannot tell if they defend the people from the donuts, or the donuts from the people. Powdered sugar hangs in the air like cannon smoke. Jensen took a hot coffee to the face, he may never recover.

Yours in glaze,

I've lost quite a bit of stuff in my life, due to other people. My mother incinerated everything from my childhood within a few weeks of my leaving home at 18. I lost a large collection of LPs when they were looted by a co-resident in a share house when I was away for a fortnight.
