This tragedy might have been prevented. FAA Chief Whitaker had clashed with SpaceX's safety issues in the past. On Jan. 20, Musk demanded Whitaker resign. Trump also gutted an FAA safety team. I hope there will be an investigation into ALL of the causes of this crash.
The American Airlines jet that collided with an Army helicopter and crashed into the Potomac River on Wednesday night was carrying a group of elite young figure skaters, their parents, and coaches. RIP to all the innocent souls lost in this horrible tragedy.

I live in NC so I'm watching this carefully, but ALL of us in the US need to pay attention to this case about voter suppression.
Please pay attention to this case being argued in the 4th Circuit tomorrow. It could determine whether the GOP succeeds in stealing a NC Supreme Court seat by disenfranchising 60,000 voters.

It's already started. In week 1, Project 2025 is well underway. I hope all of us in red states are letting our representatives know that we do NOT support this.
Experts on fascist takeover say the first year is the window where they can be stopped. Otherwise, they will cause immense suffering before finally being overthrown.

Did Trump implement the gag order on CDC and FDA in order to quash the news about bird flu? Seems like it's up to us to research and learn how to keep our families and pets safe.
