By the way: Land borders in Canada still accept a US drivers license together with a birth certificate or citizenship card for entry. You do not need a passport to enter Canada by land if you are an American citizen. You only need a passport when flying.
As long as people are wishing for things, I think a good step for the Canadian government to take would be to introduce some kind of policy of specially allowed entry and/or asylum for transgender U.S. citizens who are being denied passports and are therefore effectively trapped in the country

Also, remember that tariffs are an economic war on Americans as well. The average household will pay $800+ more per year. There will be hundreds of thousands of job losses and it will throw the US into a recession with all economists predicting the GDP will shrink.

Dump is about to learn that oil & electricity production in Canada is subsidised. Removing subsidies on exports will hike the price for US customers. Therefore, it's Canada who's been subsidising US, to keep price low for a commercial partner, not the opposite. And US being self-sufficient is a lie.
