We are now further away from the theatrical release of Raiders of the Lost Ark (June 12, 1981) than it was from the year it takes place in (1936). We have reached the Indiana Jones event horizon.

Watched The Ballad of Wallis Island last night. Loved it. Both absurdly funny and heartbreakingly truthful. Strongly recommend.

Black History Month is an opportunity to remind people that history is broad and diverse. It is not about singling out groups its just about making sure more of the voices of the past are included, creating a fuller picture of history. www.history.org.uk/ha-news/cate...

Nye was brilliant. I did not expect to get so emotional. Michael Sheen gives a great performance.

Really impressed by 'The Siege' by Ben MacIntyre. A dramatic description of the six days of the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege.

I also realised that this is my first memory of an historical event.
