I spent MANY of my formative years in Burnet, Kerr, and the area of Travis counties that flooded. I’ve shed many tears knowing that the places I have such beautiful memories of were some of the most horrific for others.

One of my fav things about my job is that I get to watch future surgeons conduct research studies that specifically look into racial discrimination, income inequality, language barriers, etc and its impact on health care. I get to see real time improvements due to those studies and it’s amazing.

Maybe I was raised weird, but I'm of the opinion that people who do nothing wrong and definitely didn't sexually abuse anyone don't need to keep NDAs ready and waiting for people to sign in exchange for stacks of money.
