Does anyone here know how to write a book
I agree. Not actually sure what this is about but there’s no way the modern economy needs as many bards as they’re producing.
it's really damning for academia that the president of Bard College hasn't stepped down yet

Every time I watch skiing or snowboarding the broadcasters are like, "He just pulled off the Double Reverse Dino Vampire there, magnificent," and I'm growing increasingly convinced that they're just making it all up

Forgot to mention that I wrote about 35 years of Silence of the Lambs, which came out on Valentine's Day for some reason www.inverse.com/entertainmen...

Guess we're trying to redeem this guy now. Well, I'm not falling for it. We all saw what he tried to do to the Hobbits.

Thinking about how JFK called From Russia With Love one of his favourite novels as I read the scene where Bond watches two gypsy women inadvertently strip each other naked during their fight to the death
Continuing to work my way through the old Bond books, and over the course of a day’s flying he pounded two coffees at one quick stopover, two shots of liquor at the next, then two martinis and half a bottle of wine for dinner. All of these books should be about him looking for the next bathroom.

What follows is the funniest use of the slo-mo alternate angle tech I've seen them use during these Olympics of one of the crew members falling

Sorry, I’m still working on making the most famous person from my high school. But I’ll get to this one eventually.

Controversy in figure skating, you say
The International Skating Union said it stands by the French judge despite questions about scoring in the ice dance competition.

In the free skate, Jezabel Dabouis favored Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron of France by nearly eight points over Americans Madison Chock and Evan Bates.

Probably okay for the short-track skaters to use them too. Their rink is like the Baby Park of the Olympics.
The long-distance speed skaters should be allowed to use Mario Kart-esque items. Sorry, I know there are a lot of other things going on, but it's true.

They should follow up Heated Rivalry with a sexy bowling show. Call it 7-10 Split because one guy is hotter than the other.
Two of a Kind

Needed to look up Jodie Foster's height for an article and ended up at r/tall, where the top post is a discussion started by a woman who said she joined the community to discuss the challenges of being tall, not to see short guys complain about being short. There's drama everywhere you look in life.

Fake podcast clips are all over the place lately but so far the ones I've encountered just really, *really* want me to take up Tai Chi for some reason
Over on X, the Everything App, serious conservative thinker Dinesh D'Souza shared a video of an AI-generated woman on a fake podcast he seemingly thought was real, telling the audience that young women should get with older men. Dude, wtf?
