It is grimly hilarious that the only actor who has the chops to play a goof-ass Batman in the Gunnverse is also playing the dark Batman in the Reevesverse. The most elegant solution is just to have Pattinson play two different Batmen.

i really sincerely think that if you had to choose *one* hinge point in the last 30 years that got us here, this is it. there are plenty of others, but this might be the most definitive one.
I’m beginning to think we are not structurally equipped to handle this kind of weight-bearing load on democracy in the wake of Citizens United.
