“What did you order?” Hazel purses his lips together, but his sudden laughter escapes with an impolite sound. The parcel’s shape doesn’t give it away. “Something for my clothes.” Ferdinand lifts his eyebrows, trying not to smile. “Something for your clothes,” he repeats, unconvinced. “Yes. It is.” Hazel huffs at the indignity and rips away the paper covering the box with startling ferocity. Once he has the box beneath opened, he lifts out the clothing brush with its large handle and even wider head. “For my suits.” “For the seat of your designer slacks? While they’re still on you?” Hazel takes a deep breath and allows the box and tissue paper to fall to the floor. “Secondary uses might be acceptable in urgent circumstances.” “I’d wager its first use is on your backside, and you more than deserve a smacking for trying to convince me that you bought it for any other purpose.” Ferdinand slips closer, placing his hands on Hazel’s hips. “You thought you were being cute.” “You don’t think I am?” Hazel plays it up, staring up at Ferdinand through his lashes with all the innocence he can feign. Ferdinand seizes the brush suddenly and wags it close to Hazel’s nose. The scent of fresh boar bristles and the polished wood wafts under Hazel’s nostrils. The scolding gesture and the implications of uses for that brush are enough to send a thrill that tickles his stomach and stirs his cock.

Currently my laptop won't even show me a screen of any kind, it's clearly on but it's a black screen.

I tried to fend off updates, because I uninstalled the recent ones and the flickering screen stopped, but... fuck. I don't need this too. I just don't.

Today is the day authors are learning how many of their publishers straight up blew off registering copyright and I feel like that deserves a class action suit of its own if it costs everyone their settlement money from the Anthropic suit... 😒🤬

Once per combat, she is able to control the enemy for one turn, due to her hypnotic cyber eyes. A brief backstory is included describing her being stolen from her childhood school, rescued, and growing up in the darker areas of Faktoria. She now works with Celestial VR to see if certain drugs can pair with VR tech to treat severe psych disorders, for better quality of life. A mockup of a Vekari trading card that uses TTRPG rules for Acro Kameko. He has 17 TEC, 3 MED, 11 STR, 16 INT, 9 DEX, 4 REP, and 52 max HP. His normal attack is a ball of electrical energy casted as a spell, and his heavy attack is a burst of the same energy throughout the room. He allows the player to roll an extra D6 when rolling for either Attack or Damage during combat (but not both). A brief description is included calling him an elf-feline hybrid with a perpetually open wound where his jaw should be. A specially made mask, that also allows him to wield magic, is worn to prevent infections and allow him to speak. A mockup of a Vekari trading card that uses TTRPG rules for Enoch Favonius. He has 3 TEC, 10 MED, 11 STR, 18 INT, 12 DEX, 5 REP, and 43 max HP. His normal attack is a blast of telekinetic energy and his heavy attack is a burst of conjured laser beams. He allows item cards to be used twice before discarding, rather than once. A brief description is included stating that he is a magic wielder of unknown origin known to be methodical and goal-oriented— sometimes too much for his own good. He has a large amount of knowledge about magical artifacts. A mockup of a Vekari trading card that uses TTRPG rules for Kori Jonak. She has 14 TEC, 16 MED, 12 STR, 7 INT, 13 DEX, 19 REP, and 49 max HP. Her normal attack is a hunting knife and her heavy attack is small sticks of TNT that she carries in her pocket. Her first attack each combat deals double damage.

From Seasons, in one of the later chapters that I'm adding to the revised version... there are a lot of flower-related things because some of the characters were born in flowers (Bee, for instance), but this part of the new WIP stuff :)
Vivian’s yard is becoming an overgrown labyrinth of plants. Each day, there is a little more greenery in his yard. The sunflowers in the back are Phineas’s doing, I’ve been told, but I see summer grasses and native thistles and other such natural plants springing up in the lesser-used corners of the property. The birds and insects are thriving. Bee notices more species each time he sits out on the patio with Vivian. He whispers their scientific nomenclature under his breath, as if fearful his observations will send them flitting away, never to be seen again.

This sounds ridiculous, but not having a place of my own to live and not having cats is about to give me a mental breakdown. These things won't fix but WILL improve my life. And I know it's not a viable career, but my books selling PLUS my job would bring me closer to this level of stability.
