Ok if I ever need to live in another US state besides California I'm moving to Louisiana because "food I've eaten in the past and food I hope to eat in the future" is also my favorite go-to conversation topic.

I very rarely eat fast food, has the taste actually gotten worse for most of these places because I just assumed that I grew up and developed better standards.

I wish every game remake was like Final Fantasy 7R. Just say “This is not a substitute for the original” in the most explicit possible terms and then get real weird with it. Resident Evil remakes are almost there but they fucked up the branding by having them share titles.

AI bros are like “One day you will be able to make your own Marvel movie all by yourself, and this will totally justify all the non-consensual deepfake porn and the complete dissolution of photographic evidence as a concept.”

I like when people describe characters as scrunkly. I can't define it exactly but it's very evocative.

Maybe this is sour grapes but I think there’s something to be said for simple decorating systems that put everyone on the same level, when I see the super complex stuff people can do with modern Animal Crossing it just makes me not want to bother.

I agree that adult Lego is a racket for nostalgic adults with disposable income, but the people mad about it seem totally ignorant of the fact that affordable Lego sets for children are still a thing. They make a lot of them actually.

every minute I have ever spent playing Final Fantasy XI
tell me about a time you were awed by a set piece in a video game. not a story beat, not an emotional moment or a cool mechanic, but something just There, in the world, that made your jaw drop or sent a chill up your spine

Is there a reverse buyer's remorse where you made a purchase you weren't very enthusiastic about but then ended up enjoying it way more than you thought? Anyway that's Kirby Air Riders for me.

I’d love to be a regular at a local restaurant but you only get so many meals in this life and I like to try new things as much as possible (also I cook 90% of my food at home to save money)

Dark chocolate is the one thing I love most in this world if I ever spontaneously became allergic or something I don’t know how I’d cope.

Wonderful 101 was so cool; they really made an action game with heavy emphasis on spacing and fighting multiple enemies at once in the dark age of 2013
