Threads sucks because it rewards Instagram influencers who were able to just import their already large following & the algorithm just promotes the hell out of their high engagement posts
but as everyone is finding out, Instagram influencers just aren’t good posters. they don’t have the sickness.

I also don’t think it’s good for society or “preventing social-media horrors” if the big networks are endlessly run entirely by the same three or four dead-eyed weird white men.

To be clear: I don’t think Bluesky is or will stay a quirky little nerd paradise without ads.
No one should trust any social media company not to be evil.

* self-promotion from celebrities and rich people
* no control over my timeline
* strict prohibition of any sexual content
* nothing from europe
* no alt-text
