As a Colombian, considering the times we’re living in and the fact that some of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’ work has been banned in US schools- I’m diving into his work this year. I decided to start light with Chronicles of a Death Foretold but I’m already emotional. #booksky

I will say Colombians love big words and Gabriel Garcia Marquez is poetic but reading the translated work…. I need to buy a dictionary. I hate having to grab my phone while reading. Context clues are great but I need to see the literal definition of everything I don’t know to file it accordingly 😂
