I’d rather be on the pole the rest of my life so my son can have an education than have him sell his body to the US government. (9/9)

Serving is an honor to be taken seriously, by willing adult mature participants… not something to trick high schoolers and vulnerable families into like they’re just another body to fill a quota. Our children are not disposable. My son is not for sale. (8/9)

I share this to share knowledge of the code of ethics, in hopes parents will be less likely to fall for predatory/coercive/deceptive military practices. I’m sure there are plenty of families who are willing and happy to serve. If they want to they’ll find their way to recruitment. (7/9)

I filed all the complaints with the school, the navy, and the recruiting office. I am sickened at this predatory behavior from a recruiter in a largely minority community, and I’m sure we aren’t the only ones that this has happened to. (6/9)

010410- they can only collect personal information from the individual (I opted out of sharing information at the beginning of the school year and the school confirmed they did not share it so did my child) (5/9)

In layman’s terms according to the document:

010404.2.2 -recruiters are not supposed to text you.

010405- they can’t lie (he impersonated someone working with the school) (4/9)

b- they can’t make written implied promises (free travel and free college)

Major confusion because I opted out of sharing information with the military at the beginning of the school year, but that’s not even my biggest concern. Naturally, I looked up the Navy Recruiting Manual (COMNAVCRUITCOMINST 1130.8Q, 30 Jan 2025) and confirmed ethics violations (3/9)

I had a Navy recruiter text me claiming to be working with the Alumni department at my son’s school & stated he just wanted to talk to me about my child’s future and possible “free travel and free college”.

… there is NO alumni department in my son’s school.
