Living the life of the cool, gritty city by the Bay.

Thank you to everyone who reached out after this aired on Monday. The experience of grieving is so stigmatized and shrouded in silence. Yet we all experience it at some point.

Imagine if we felt freer to drop the facade, just for a moment, and be real about our pain. Even with a stranger on BART.

This S.F. neighborhood just got its first park — though it lasts for only two days
A drab San Francisco parking lot became a lush popup park filled with plants, music and neighbors — but this “hidden gem” disappears Friday.

This thug move by Trump has nothing to do with election integrity & everything to do with election intimidation. They’ll no doubt focus their bullying in Democratic areas. We will pass Prop 50 despite these tactics.
Justice Department says it will send election monitors to California on Election Day
The unusual announcement comes amid sky-high tensions between state leaders and federal officials and as voting is underway on Prop 50.

As the Border Patrol heads to the Bay Area, Nancy Pelosi today said local law enforcement may arrest federal troops who break California law.

The idea comes from San Francisco DA Brooke Jenkins who says she will prosecute them.

In January Berkeley Rep unveiled artwork for "The The Thing About Jellyfish" with an AI credit.

Since then I've talked to artists and designers who love it as a tool, who use it as a spur, who loathe it as a threat.

Also: How do they even use it? www.sfchronicle.com/entertainmen...

In recent years, I’ve not done as much for National Coming Out Today, since it no longer seemed as necessary given the progress we’d made.

We now have a regime that wants us all to go away. Complete erasure.

So today I’m gonna be extra gay in honor of these bigots.

I'm horrified to hear that Charlie Kirk was shot at an event in Utah.

Democratic societies will always have political disagreements, but we must never allow America to become a country that confronts those disagreements with violence.

Mark and I are praying for Charlie's recovery.

In what era in America were kids encouraged to bring guns to school?
RFK Jr: We had lots of guns when we were kids. Kids brought guns to school and were encouraged to do so. And nobody was walking into schools and shooting people. There are many things that could explain this. One is the dependence on psychiatric drugs.
