This is an important discussion we don't seem to be having. Particularly in his first couple of years, Biden checked off a wish-list of not just Progressive policy goals, but those of the general electorate. And kinda got no credit or bounce.
Biden was the most economically progressive president since LBJ at least, he pursued a full-employment economy at huge political risk, it worked spectacularly.

And what happened is that the entire progressive universe decided that he must not have done any of it, or else he would have been popular
Are the progressive economic policies in the room with us right now?

The double standard was and remains brain-breaking...
I’m sure Ezra Douthglesias and the Editorial Boards of the Papers of Record will be all over this the way they were when the Old Democrat spoke utterly banal truths about the far right authoritarian party:

Sure sure let’s order the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) to end all pandemic preparedness and biodefense work.

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
Exclusive: Key US infectious-diseases centre to drop pandemic preparation
Staff members have been instructed to scrub this topic and ‘biodefense’ from the agency’s website.

Say it with me, Democrats: we're better at the economy. Forty years of data proves it's true, but no one knows because we don't make the case.
In 2023, under Joe Biden, the economy added 3 million jobs. In 2024, still under Biden, it added 2.2 million jobs. In 2025, under Trump, it added just 181,000 jobs.

You read that right - Trump is just that amazing.

Take any decision, consider what the dumbest, most destructive choice would be, and that's US policy now.
“Moderna’s CEO announced the company will no longer invest in new Phase 3 vaccine trials for infectious diseases: ‘You cannot make a return on investment if you don’t have access to the U.S. market.’ Vaccines for Epstein-Barr virus, herpes, and shingles have been shelved.”
Moderna chief: Company won’t invest in new late-stage vaccine trials
Moderna has already been facing declines in sales after a boom during the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the most miserable things about living in this era is having to watch the stupidest & most arrogant people in the world have to relearn The Why of literally everything good that we collectively do the hard way.

The answer is always ‘Because a bunch of people died, fuckwit.’

So the feds ARE NOT considering an mRNA vaccine for the flu, which could save countless lives, but ARE backing research into whether horse dewormer can cure cancer, because the right views vaccines as elite and ivermectin as populist.

Maria Antonia Guerra Montoya was used as bait by ICE, just like they did to Liam Ramos.

The Dilley camp has held the 9 year old for 113 days. She wrote a letter pleading to go home to Columbia.

Make noise for all of them.

Public pressure got Liam released.

Now close the camps.

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.
