My 2026 resolution is to spend less time on websites and apps that make me feel manufactured dread, give me a warped view or the world, and hinder my ability to smartly do the work I wake up to do every day.

We have pretty good testing that shows AI policy messaging should frame around concrete harms to children, seniors, and consumer safety. Messages that emphasizes elite corruption, constitutional authority, or sweeping “AI apocalypse” don’t work.
There’s a funny Politico story showing that the latest polling on AI shows 80-20 in favor of heavy regulations, an absolute slam dunk platform, but Dems are worried about not winning back mask-off tech CEO donors

> I decided that 90 percent accuracy was enough.

So many systems are fault-tolerant, and it’s great to remember that in a world where LLMs introduce new faults. Kudos to OP for this mindset; more anti-AI posters would benefit from sitting with the idea from time to time.

I spent like two hours Packer’ing a VM to contain the Coding Agent and at the end I decided I hated that whole workflow and am just gonna wing it and assume the AI companies will soon ship these things with sandier boxes.

In fact, Texas has now definitively surpassed California as the largest producer of utility-scale solar in the US

California still leads in total solar due to its much larger rooftop program, but Texas has reached 68% of California's output compared to 55% in the 12 months prior

The "magic" of these coding assistants is that they seem like they can drive the bus. But you’re the one who should be behind the wheel.

Here's how I spent almost all of the $250 in Claude Code credits I got last month, and what I made and learned.

Turns out that young men kinda hate the things Trump is doing, and they can be organized quite effectively if we don't scold them.
The latest from @ymriofficial.bsky.social I heard you guys like messaging experiments so we did some messaging experiments!

Sometime around 2016 everyone learned that “corrupt” was just some synonym of “bad” as a squishy rationalization for hating Hillary Clinton, and now here we are, showered in a repeat of an administration of endless actual corruption.
This where we are:

On Thursday Trump made a multi billion dollar PERSONAL bet on a competing energy source and Monday he straight attempted to cancel potential competition.

It's incredible how inured the world has become to his naked corruption.

An underrated strategy for political power-building: Do things; tell people!
Sure just doing things is great but have you also tried telling people about it beforehand or even after.
