It's hard to believe there's a world where Texas A&M actually hired Mark Stoops.

Y'all, we're barely halfway through the season and we've already reached joint statement territory?

The most comical game winning touchdown ever? Lawrence with the trip six?

It is ridiculous that UCLA and Penn State has broken for TWO commercial breaks in the final possession of a one score game.

There really, really needs to be a countdown before storming. That has to become the new rule everywhere. Make a lil game of it. Put it on the scoreboard so everyone can get even more riled up. Whatever. Just get players out of there first
I hope he got out of there.

Field storming is part of the fabric of college football, but was anyone else terrified for that receiver and some of those FSU players? Have your fun, but keep the players safe.
UVA stops FSU's last pass and absolute bedlam ensues, don't miss the fan flipping Castellanos the bird and recording it on his phone

Also... is the American Conference just.... good?

Charlotte last night. Tulsa tonight. Underdogs that repeatedly settle for field goals deserve to lose. Tulsa escaping doesn't make it any less cowardly.

That's the game the program I've grown up watching never wins. And they did it.

Hats off to my Aggies tonight. #gigem

One of my favorite amusing stats from Week 2:

South Florida is the first program to have won at least one game on the home field of each of the other six FBS programs in the state of Florida (Florida Atlantic, Florida, Florida State, Miami, UCF, FIU).

Thank goodness TCU didn't know North Carolina's depth chart or they might have given them trouble
Updated UNC depth chart for tonight’s game. Can’t believe they’re tipping off TCU that they’re using a right tackle.

The Texans take down Army?!

Y'all don't have to pay attention to Jerry Jones. You can actually watch real football right now.

HAWAII

And he nails the game winner.

This. Sport.
Hawaii's kicker learned how to kick from watching Youtube in Japan, this is the greatest college football team ever already

Hawaii football playing a banger on opening weekend. Nature is healing.

We knew that would be a natural side effect when they announced this rule was coming, but to see it happen in real time is jarring.
Hawaii just got hit with the fake injury timeout penalty on *offense* because someone cramped up after the ball was spotted for the next play.

So we've seen it called twice today, both appeared to be legitimate ailments.

Really good read from Chris on the plight of one particular G5 program amidst all the recent changes in the collegiate landscape.
✍️ In one year, New Mexico lost its AD, FB coach, MBB coach and all its top players to bigger schools after some winning.

In this new era of college sports, how can G5 schools like UNM keep selling hope?

"The pride and the passion is still there.”

New Mexico’s revenue sports had one good year. Then almost everyone left town
Heavy football roster turnover is common in college sports’ free transfer era, but New Mexico faced a rare double-dip this year.

Thank you so much for research. This trend of preseason poll canceling is ridiculous and the conferences should continue to be called out for it.

As someone fortunate enough to be in the small segment of people who can directly relate to this, absolutely loved what @mikevorkunov.bsky.social put together on last-second rewrites.

When players like Tyrese Haliburton hit buzzer-beaters, it can be a sportswriter’s nightmare
When someone hits a last-second shot, the moment is chaotic, riveting and pressure-packed, and not only for the athletes.
