Delaware beat UConn.
UConn beat Duke.
Duke beat Virginia.
Virginia beat Louisville.
Lou beat Miami.

Therefore, Delaware is 2 wins away from a natty.

Very impressive for the Hens first year in FBS.

I’ve been thinking more about how Georgia coughed up a win in the Sugar Bowl and I’ve decided it’s entirely the fault of bark boy’s boss in the All State commercial, who is clearly a shitty fan and didn’t support her team enough. Bark Boy should’ve gotten a raise.

I’ve replaced my previous nuanced view of the world with 5 simple values:
1) if you’re drunk enough it doesn’t count
2) yes I’ll take fries with that
3) whoever we’re talking about ain’t played nobody
4) fuck you, bro. I was parked here yesterday.
5) ok cool #hookem
Incredible. CBS Evening News announces five new “simple values” — instead of their “38-page handbook” — as they roll out Tony Dokoupil is lead anchor.

One of those values is simply: “We love America and make no apologies for saying so.”

From 2015-2020, just 9 teams played in a semifinal, with Bama, Clemson, Ohio St & Okla. accounting for 18 of 24 spots.

From 2021-2025, 14 different teams have appeared in a semi, with Michigan the only team with more than 2 appearances.

I do think that’s true. Schools are pretty well aware of scarcity in the marketplace and keeping a successful QB is both good business and good marketing.
do you think programs are more willing to pony up NIL money to retain QB’s because the optics of losing your starter to the portal are just bad? seems like the lesson of roster construction this year is clearly to invest in your lines heavily first and then build out

Big news for NC State: Sources confirm CJ Bailey will return to the Wolfpack for 2026.

There are only 11 coaches with multiple playoff wins.

Pete Golding, who has only coached two games in his career, is one of them.

Ole Miss in 4Q vs. Georgia

1st game of 2025: 3 drives, 13 yards, 1 passing yard
tonight: 1 drive, 76 yards, 64 passing yards

Alabama finishes the year averaging 104.1 yards rushing/game -- 125th nationally.

I went back the last 50 years at that's at least 33 yards per game worse than any other Bama season (137.6 in 2000).

He's oddly flown under the radar because of big games by the D and Mark Fletcher, but Carson Beck's last 7 games: 83.7 Total QBR, 76% completions, 8.4 yards/pass, 15 TD, 3 INT, 9 sacks, 22 completions of 20+ yards.

ACC has 6 postseason wins, its most since 2018 -- and still has at least 3 games to go. 2018 was also last time ACC finished with a winning record in postseason. Currently 6-4.

In this era, 8-win seasons feel entirely meh. But Clemson can get to 8 for the 15th straight year today. Only 10 FBS teams have streaks of 5+ (and that requires ignoring 2020)

Bama, 17
UGA, 15
Clemson, 14*
OhSt, 13+
Iowa, 10+
Mich, 10+
ND, 9
Ore, 7+
Miss, 5
WKU, 5
