The last week I've been "home alone" juggling work and the kids (who are basically proto-adults) So I'm doing this on easy mode compared to most but... boy do I appreciate all my wife does for us all when she's here!

We just added CCC to @compiler-explorer.com - Claude's C Compiler. And what fitting way but to have gotten Claude to added itself to CE... @anthropic.com - added a build to our builder, added it to our daily builds, added the installation, the configuration, and tested it in staging. Nice!

I'm fairly convinced at this point that the secret to longevity is a nice hot shower. In 2024, I went to @revision-party.bsky.social for one and wrote a song about it...

Inspired by leinad, it's also a @bloopmuseum.bsky.social shill.

really looking forward to giving this keynote!

imo the best reverse engineers also deeply understand compilers; I’ll be getting into the weeds with LLVM for this one
Laurie (@laurewired) is keynoting RE//verse 2026 with Thinking Like a Compiler: Obfuscation from the Other Side! From LLVM passes baked into the build to custom VM bytecode that leaves decompilers guessing, this one goes straight for the toolchain. Get your ticket: shop.binary.ninja/collections/...

#GOTOpodcast:
@matt.godbolt.org sits down with Daniel Kusswurm to talk about the parts of modern computing most of us never touch but still rely on.

They dig into:
-> what SIMD actually is
-> intrinsics vs handwritten assembly
-> vectorized algorithms

Fun fact, this "world's most complicated/important machine" that Veritasium just covered runs C++!

I know because I have had students from ASML on multiple occasions (they had me out there for training and to speak at a meetup back in 2018!)

I tried to sell my last generation @Garmin.com watches, but then realized they weren't keeping charges very well.

The guy I gave them to for free sent me this lovely note and $50.

I'm forwarding the $ to ALS research in honor of Rainer Grimm, consider contributing to ALS research if you can.
