I’m old enough to remember when Senate Dems were told they should use the nuke option to expand court and they were like, “we don’t want to do that because you can’t come back from it and our republican colleagues are people of moral integrity who wouldn’t do this to us…”

People spend a lot of time wondering why the left is worse at using independent media to control the national narrative.

A useful exercise is to ask why the left is also worse at selling snake oil and pyramid schemes, because I think the reasons are basically exactly the same.

If the new tariffs stay in place for multiple years, and are enforced and inflationary, and DOGE continues to cut and fire , we will be in a far worse situation than 2008
Hey, Mark. Assume Trump doesn't "cut deals" to reduce tariffs, and they just go into effect, as-is, if not even worse. What's the worst-case outcome. Would we face a recession comparable to 2008? Worse? As bad as the 2020 pandemic recession? Worse?

Lol, so we've inadvertently declared both the EU and Taiwan as countries. Bravo 👏

I'm sure the PRC is going to love that we're implicitly breaking away from the One China policy while slapping mainland China with a 54% combined tariff /s
The devil is in the details.

Trump just handed Democrats everything they need to flip the mids and get the majorities needed to impeach and convict. Dems shouldn't take it for granted tho. We need better leadership in Senate. And we need a DNC who will throw everything against the wall—fight for EVERY seat! Let's do it to it!

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.
