I have been working and waiting outside all day today hoping to feed her again, but no luck yet. It's going to be rainy for like a week starting tomorrow.

I got to feed a cat in my neighborhood today. She's less than two years old and quite small. Skittish but trusted me enough to sit a few feet away on the ground as she ate. I fed her a couple times last summer. She's got an injury below her eye so hoping I can perhaps trap her for TNR / adoption.

Tomorrow marks eight weeks since I suddenly lost my cat to cancer. I still miss him dearly. At least I'm not crying about it much anymore.

I've been involuntarily replaying the final 48h of my cat's life, now 4w ago. His decline happened so quickly, and naturally there are things I wish I could've done differently. At the same time I'm (at least intellectually) grateful that it wasn't long and drawn out so his pain was brief.

I wonder if gamifying ALT text could drive adoption and quality even further: let users rate accuracy & helpfulness of ALT text, and show the rating.

You don't necessarily need to say "image of" in your alt text for users to know it's an image. Screen readers will announce that it's an image. But it can help readers to specify if it's a hand-drawn image, Polaroid, infographic, screenshot, chart, map, diagram, or so on.
