When your government attempts to evade oversight at every opportunity, you can assume bad things are happening.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Australia has so much solar that it's offering everyone free electricity
Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

Given this administration's ongoing war on scientific research it is increasingly difficult for me to advise students to seek a career in science. It is agonizing.
I keep thinking 'this too shall pass', but will it? Really?

Solar and wind energy are -by far- the cheapest means of production and are not fully optimized yet. They will only get more inexpensive. With recent advances in battery technology and other storage methods we are closer now to a completely renewable grid than the mainstream media reports.
This right here, this exact sentence, is THE problem in American political journalism.
The IRA *was* cheap energy and good jobs! That was the whole bill! Democrats did precisely what political pundits are telling them to do and the pundits just ignore it.

I am a very tolerant person for human frailty.
But those people that define strength as a lack of compassion or empathy? Those people can go to hell. I despise them.

I'm just a bit confused - Portland, Chicago, LA, Memphis - these are real places you can go to and take pictures and everything. Yet Trump just keeps talking about them like they're burning to the ground. What the hell?

To be honest, the way this administration operates I’m not sure if I could tell the difference if they shut the government down.

Growing food crops under solar panels is called Agrivoltaics. Lots of crops benefit from growing underneath them. I know in Maine they were piloting wild blueberries, and in Massachusetts cranberries. You can also graze animals like sheep or if you mount them high cows (not goats - they climb)

Something I'll never understand: Why people continue to support politicians when they say and do reprehensible things. Minor character flaws are just human nature and while not necessarily okay at least understandable.
But some of these folks...just...wow.

Observation: Extant 6-limbed creatures are overwhelmingly within the clade Hexapoda, a grouping of arthropods that contains insects and their close relatives.
Conjecture: Centaurs are particularly large beetles. Western dragons are cryptic parasitoid wasps. Angels are exceptionally large fireflies.

I cannot be the only one concerned with the fashion presentation of federal law enforcement - they look like they bought their gear at a central American death squad surplus sale.
How are we supposed to bend the knee to guys that can't even match camo patterns. Ugh. So humiliating.
