A last minute pivot in programming for this week’s Patreon bonus episode finds Stu and Cole talking about Larry Cohen’s Original Gangstas @bozobubby.bsky.social. It’s got barely 600 reviews on Letterboxd and Pam Grier is in it the year before Jackie Brown. www.patreon.com/posts/147195...

New review on @theartsfuse.bsky.social about the movie event of this year, and hopefully next barring a hostile fucking takeover of NEON by our corporate overlords.

Matt Johnson is more deserving of the title “Mr. Movies” than Tom Cruise. I will hear no disagreement.

Film Review: "Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie" - Matt and Jay's Excellent Adventure - The Arts Fuse
True to its name, "Nirvanna the Band The Movie" is bigger and crazier than anything Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol have ever conceived of, a feat of gonzo filmmaking that would make Werner Herzog sweat...

I was a little nervous to try something like this, I haven't really done an RPG session (or improv) in a long time, but I had a ton of fun. Looking forward to recording follow-ups in the new year.

they’re gonna start deleting games for taxes lol
NEW: I just got off the phone with a Warner Bros. Discovery spokesperson who confirmed Warner Bros. Games is included in the Netflix deal.

I asked whether they would discuss plans for the division, but they refused to elaborate further at this point in time.
Yes, Netflix is acquiring Warner Bros. Games
A Warner Bros. spokesperson has confirmed the video game division will be acquired by Netflix alongside its wider streaming and television business.

Good news: the show will continue in perpetuity until this and further monopolies inevitably destroy the film industry as we know it! Yay!!!
Netflix has won the bidding war to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery.

The sale is not yet finalized, as the U.S. Department of Justice could also interfere due to anti-trust concerns.
