I love a gritty crime drama and I LOVED The Rip on Netflix! All corrupt cops and angry FBI agents and drug cartels and twists and turns and sweaty machismo. It’s like a Don Winslow novel on screen. Damon and Affleck make a really great double-act too!

I’ve cooked up a neat plot for a new Jurassic World film that feels like a much needed departure from the previous movies but still in keeping with the spirit of them. How do I get it in front of Gareth Edwards?!

If there’s anything less interesting to buy that dust cover caps for car tyres do let me know as I felt my soul leave making that purchase just now.

As a resident of Croydon it boggles my mind that some of the video of Taylor Swift’s new single Opalite was filmed in our much-maligned (and very run down) shopping mall - The Whitgift Centre! Absolutely bonkers.

I’ve been doing a mammoth rewatch of Scrubs while I’ve been drawing my new comic, and let me tell you: it’s an absolute joy. It doesn’t get enough love but it really should be thought of as one of the great all-time sitcoms.

Something something, “police are looking into it.”
These fraught times call for a show with what is either an intentionally or unintentionally hilarious title, and which I will be talking about for the rest of the year

Who’s got two thumbs and has bought tickets to see Wolf Alice in July?! Well, I mean: several thousand people - it’s a big gig and most of the attendees will have both thumbs, but also THIS GUY!

From next week I have to start injecting myself with methotrexate for my psoriatic arthritis, so that’s a fun new development. My dad’s been diabetic since the 80s so I’ve grown up around people using needles but still not much looking forward to it!

I mean, I know there’s far bigger things going on at the moment to be annoyed about, but it’s grating that there’s no UHD release of Keeper on disc next month, and only a BluRay.

Isn't this a telling aspiration? To want robots to look after your kids, so you can do stuff, rather than robots to do stuff, so you can spend time with your kids?

The darkness inside these shrivelled men must be like a gaping unfillable void.

Think you'd be a good comic editor? Here's your 'choose your own adventure' chance. We announced our new creator-owned series HIDDEN SPRINGS this week. Here's all the different roughs @nilvendrell.bsky.social sent through as possible covers for #1. Which one would you choose?

The Trump disbelief that the Norwegian govt doesn't control the Nobel process is deeply indicative of his thinking. He can't conceive that an institution could (or should) be genuinely independent of coercion or political power. That's the change he represents.
Trump: "I should have gotten the Nobel prize for each war...I saved millions and millions of people...and don't let anyone tell you that Norway doesn't control the shots. It's in Norway. Norway controls the shots. It's a joke. They've lost such prestige.“

I loved 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. It’s a brilliantly made horror with some real flashes of originality. Plus, Ralph Fiennes is having the absolute time of his life!
