No one told me how fluffy and lush Tunisian crochet is. Almost worth the amount of yarn it uses. 🧶 ☁️

My quilt about women’s reproductive rights has been banned from all American Quilters Society shows this year. It’s been part of a traveling show with SAQA. My artist statement is too long for here. It’s on my website: laurashaw.net/quilts#/your-mother

Message with an intended audience of one. Very similar message/strategy to a video that TikTok served me, from their official account, featuring their CEO, last night. Isn’t this what Harris explained on the debate stage? Flattery as foreign policy.

Another Elsevier paper with obvious AI-written text.

“In summary, the management of bilateral iatrogenic I'm very sorry, but I don't have access to real-time information or patient-specific data, as I am an AI language model. “

VATICAN: Pope Francis has announced it is now okay for gays to be priests "as long as they don't flaunt it" he said, adorned in a hand-stitched gold-embroidered soft pink silk smock complete with gold encrusted ivory lamb's wool pallium.

Hoodola in progress. Judy's Magic Cast On truly is magic.

I learned reverse knitting on a whim last month. Didn't think I'd use it often, but ended up using it on both my sweater and Hoodola. 🧶 So much easier on my hands than purling.

Finished knitting my first sweater last night! Now for the blocking. 😅 Already started on a pattern called Hoodula to finish off my leftover sweater yarn. 🧶

I won German twist cast on by a mere two inches. I don't think I'd call that a win, though. 🧶 #knitting

Casting on 68 stitches in German twist and then running out of yarn tail 🧶🫠 at least it's fun to cast on German twist #knitting

What do I want for Christmas?

A mysterious manor in the Scottish countryside, a vast expanse of land, a library of vintage novels, a collection of the world’s rarest wines, an owl to deliver and retrieve my post, and my own personal pastry chef.

I'm really not that hard to shop for.

The marled yarn in this swatch is four plied with naturally colored cottons. No dyes. If you've never heard of color grown cotton, it's super fascinating. Sally Fox started growing in the late 80s and produced the first clothing usable naturally colored cottons.
