Canada question, if I'd decide to leave the US for Canada as a transfeminine queer person, would Montreal or Toronto be a better option if a priority is a large lgbt community? My French is rusty but I know some basics.

I'm seeing a few reports of this, but I can't confirm this is widespread. I have been told a separate passport office is no longer processing changes, but new apps will go by your BC and renewals by your current info.
There's a lot of confusion out there on passports and no real answer yet.
