This is why it is important to have Green Party leaders at the biggest table of all: Parliament. Holding the government to account over its shameful position on Gaza, and having the platform to influence national policy.
Overnight, the UN Emergency Relief Coordinator warned that genocide is possible in Gaza. I asked an urgent question Does this Govt stand by its duty to prevent under the Genocide Convention, and will it act to uphold humanitarian law?

Brilliant to stand alongside Chris Packham, Sir David King, and over 150 scientists at today’s Science to Politics event, gathering outside Parliament to bring their expertise to govt and demand action on the climate emergency. It’s clear: if we’re to protect our planet, we must listen to science.

Since the partial suspension of export licences in September 2024, the UK has exported over 8000 individual munitions, 150,000 bullets and 299 "tanks and other armored fighting vehicles" to Israel.
Continuing to arm a genocidal regime is indefensible.
The UK must end ALL arms sales to Israel.
