I've signed this cross party letter with many other politicians and leaders across civil society.

The Labour Government is making a disastrous mistake with nuclear weapons expansion - this will not make us any safer.

The opposite is true - more info below 👇🏼

I am very sad to hear that Geoffrey Bindman has passed away.

A champion of human rights, Geoffrey always spoke up for the underdog.

Geoffrey was never afraid to stand up for the truth, no matter the consequences.

He was a truly wonderful man — and I will miss him greatly.

Well well. Villa have won 2-0.

The fuss. The Israel lobby posturing. All the media wanting a pogrom. All the same old boring voices commenting on tv and no doubt press to follow. I wish the players no ill. But have less respect for the gongoozling vultures being so dramatic.

Congratulations to @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social!

You ignited a grassroots campaign, built on the radical idea that everyone deserves to live in dignity.

This is a seismic victory — not only for the people of New York, but for all those who believe that humanity & hope can prevail.

Some say Mamdani may implement Sharia Law. He might. At the heart of Sharia is social justice, welfare, fairness, charity and community cohesion. Most Muslim countries operate a hybrid of Sharia and civil law, are slowly reforming and abandoning unethical practices despite the west’s portrayal.

Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

The socialist left has won power in New York.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social won a majority - the first candidate to win more than 1 million votes since 1969.

He did so despite an unrelenting racist smear campaign, vast sums spent by billionaires, and threats from Trump to strangle New York.

Great to see Mamdani winning in New York. Hopefully the 1 million who said they would leave will depart, but how did scumbag Cuomo still get 40% of the vote!

I wonder how many pro Tel Aviv yob fans, promoting Daily Telegraph or must-be-true-because Lord Mann (under whose watch antisemitism rose, not fell) said so stories I'll bump into on here today?

In a society with a healthy respect for ethics and the rule of law, the scandal would not be that Maccabi Tel Aviv fans are barred from their Aston Villa match, but that the UK hasn't cut all sporting ties with a genocidal apartheid state.
