Delivering the news that our Labour-run Council has failed to properly consult residents on plans which will permanently damage our High Street. Lots of anger now people are learning the truth.

A “scathing” report on Labour run Redbridge’s SEND provision. The Borough has to do better for the most vulnerable children. It’s not just extra cash that’s needed but wholesale reform.

Families feel 'worn down and unheard' by Redbridge's 'ineffective' SEND provision
Children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) have been failed by Redbridge Council and the NHS, a scathing Ofsted report has said.

Without fixing social care, this NHS plan could be the most expensive sticking plaster in history.

It appears Labour are borrowing from the Conservative playbook - ignoring the social care crisis because it’s just too hard.

I’ve written to the Mayor of London urging urgent action on Islamophobia training across GLA bodies. Muslims in London face real, growing threats which public institutions are NOT equipped to deal with. We can’t ignore this any longer. Read my letter here⬇️

Recently, Ed Davey and Lib Dem Defence Spokesperson Helen Maguire visited Estonia, meeting the Prime Minister and senior officials to discuss European security and deeper ties in the face of Russian aggression.

The UK must stand with our European allies. 🇬🇧🇪🇪

Today marks four years since the last edition of Apple Daily - and its founder Jimmy Lai (a British national) is still in a Hong Kong prison.

Great to meet with Reporters Without Borders to receive a special copy they've produced marking the sad anniversary - very timely with today's China audit.

I was on BBC Radio London earlier to talk about the rising danger of Islamophobia and why London institutions urgently need Islamophobia training.

I didn’t expect to get emotional live on air. But this is personal for me and 1.3 million Muslim Londoners. We deserve to feel safe.

If the Government was truly serious about backing British business, they'd scrap their damaging Jobs Tax, stand up for our Farmers and negotiate a bespoke UK-EU customs union.

Who beats Reform?

By-elections since May 1st where Reform and .... finished as the top two:

Reform vs Labour: 0% Labour wins
Reform vs Conservative: 0% Conservative wins
Reform vs Lib Dem: 75% Lib Dem wins*

* Other 25% were Labour held seats, where Lib Dems moved up to 2nd.

One reason why I joined the Lib Dem was because I wanted votes to matter regardless of where you happen to live

Today I was so pleased to support Sarah Olney's bill, and to be part of a Parliament that's voted to support a fair voting system

Why not join us libdems.org.uk/join

There’s been a lot of noise about the impact of the Budget on farmers and farming this week. My view is that the Government’s approach gives us the worst of both worlds. Here’s my explanation from BBC Question Time last night.
