Oh hey, I have a ko-fi.

Mostly because when I make cutting boards or stuff like that, end up making double or triple because of how much material I end up getting, so this will let me sell extras.

I might throw up my dice vaults there, but we'll see.

Hey Metro Vancouver, can we stop building towers in Langley and force the City of Vancouver to densify?

This would be a very good project for a cosplayer/propmaker to make for real-

Hilarious LRR office discussion of the curling debacle, in which we—as Canadians—are disappointed.

ME: I feel like he’s not acting very Canadian

JAMES: This guy’s from Alberta

BEEJ & BEN (Albertans): Awww man

JAMES: Specifically from St. Albert

BEEJ & BEN: OH!! Well then fuck THAT guy!

It’s even more hilarious and insane because all these Olympic athletes are saying “yeah idk it’s kinda weird I think we should all just be treating people with respect and compassion” and maga is losing their minds

@cityofvancouver.bsky.social just posted the final plan for the first part of Kent Ave greenway upgrades.

It's just weaksauce traffic calming that's all rule changes, not engineering controls.
It's not going to get safer, and it's not going to get more people riding.

Kent Avenue Greenway
We’re planning to make it safer and easier to walk, bike, and roll on Kent Ave from Ash St to Elliott St.

I can't wait till this feature comes to Vancouver so I can roast @vote4abc.bsky.social @cityofvancouver.bsky.social
I was looking up a route to an appointment today when I noticed that Google maps now provides info about the kinds of bike lanes on your route. Not sure what their criteria is, but it’s an interesting way to note the failures of Chicago’s “bike grid”.

@planetmoney.bsky.social have you heard about Ogopogo, the serpent that lives in Okanagan lake, right beside the now famous town Kelowna?

I’m unreasonably proud of this, and it fits the “ps5 is ugly, so my partner made me hide it” meme. Bonus that it stops my cats from scratching the couch.

My response on Reddit about American responsibility.

I’m aware how hard this is at an individual level. Here in Ontario we’ve elected the same corrupt moron 3x.

But if your leader is attacking countries & citizens, crossing your arms and saying “I didn’t vote for him” isn’t good enough.

ebikes are faster than cars or transit for most trips in Vancouver. Even from deep suburbs of South vancouver, it's still on average to ride on poorly signed bike routes than it is to drive.
Where I'm located e-bikes *insanely* outperform buses, and often beat driving (due to congestion, parking). E-bike easily beats bus by 2x on any given point-to-point trip. The reasons to forego e-bike are: lack of safe infrastructure, rider ability, bike maintenance, theft risk, more than 1 person.

Because municipal issues affect people the most in their day to day life.
urbanism is very interesting in that it seems to be *the* way a lot of people are becoming politically / socially engaged

Well, except for 77 million of you.
One important difference between Nazi Germany and the US was that in Germany ordinary ‘decent’ citizens sided with the Nazi thugs and joined the racist attacks. Thankfully in the US we are currently seeing the opposite.

Like this had to be custom made- the choices here are on purpose.
Greg Bovino was seen earlier today at the Minneapolis ICE facility dressed in a very nazi-inspired outfit. They don’t even hide anymore.

32 percent of 4061 is 1300 people. Where's the outrage for motor vehicle speeding laws and enforcement?

Where's the legislation to restrict motor vehicle speed as safety concerns rise?

Oh wait, it's not about ebikes topping out at 40km/h- it's about them being a threat to the auto industry.
