Moderna was the principal recipient of the previous Trump administration's Operation Warp Speed in 2020-21. It's the one bright, unequivocally good thing they did, and it saved many, many lives.
So the feds ARE NOT considering an mRNA vaccine for the flu, which could save countless lives, but ARE backing research into whether horse dewormer can cure cancer, because the right views vaccines as elite and ivermectin as populist.

Cool.

FDA won’t review Moderna application for first mRNA-based flu vaccine
The decision, which shocked company officials, comes as the FDA says it will take a stricter approach to federal vaccine approvals.

Would Bluesky enjoy this god awful clip of Kid Rock from SNL S26E16 that has been scrubbed from the internet?

Because I just found a host of VHS back ups and have that clip right here 😇

As far as I know I have the only YouTube upload - SNL scrubbed the clip long before YouTube

Watching the Bad Bunny Pearl-clutching, I’m reminded again of the fragility to a lot of what passes for patriotism in this country, that requires constant affirmation and reinforcement and cannot brook any word or image that suggests otherwise.

Such people are neither strong nor actually patriotic.

Truly the best part about the sport is that when the opposing team looks like four high school teachers who are a month away from retirement, you know for certain you're about to get fucking annihilated.
i don't like how athletic-looking the curlers are these days tbh.

It's obvious but still striking to consider that we have a United States government driven solely by one man's emotional dysregulation and dysfunction.

The ENTIRE pitch and appeal of cryptocurrency was that it allowed users to send and receive money without a record that the government could trace. Did they only assume it would be used for simple tax evasion?

Come on. COME ON.

Delighted that I, some goofball lawyer, could walk into Meta and have way higher "performance" metrics than most of their software engineers, because I'm just going to brainlessly keep feeding stuff into the coding AI until some other AI says it works, without ever understanding what I'm doing.
Meta now forcing all employees to use AI tools and tying it to employee performance, according to @theinformation.com.

HR said "this is not an activity tracker—it’s an impact-evidence starter"

That's a fun way to rebrand workplace surveillance.

Nearly 90% of the longbows found on the Mary Rose have these markings just above where the bow was held.

They have been interpreted in several ways: their similarity to markings on the chests they were found in may mean they are bowyers’ makers marks.
