I’m listening to Rythm Is a Dancer with the dog waiting for my kid to get out of “it’s not D&D it’s Starfinder!” and I’m thinking about when I was young and queer and temporarily transported away from the deeply unsexy bondage of self hatred by dance and sweat and friends I don’t talk to anymore.

Tonight I got really stoned and I wanted to listen to synth but not 80s synth, so I found a YouTube music playlist called Transgender Vocal Synth. Original Songs and I listened to the whole thing and now that I’ve sobered up I have no idea if it was affirming or derogatory.
