the visual shorthand for futuristic technology in a lot of mainstream media now is like "what if your phone or tablet was just a clear rectangle" bc they've run out of ways to make tech look "newer" and it's literally a terrible idea like why would u want that it would make reading so difficult

Never gonna argue the old system of distribution was better because for some people it was impossible to receive, but I really do miss how special event Pokémon giveaways used to feel. Hauling my ass to GameStop definitely made it feel more exciting as opposed to just downloading one in an update.
